Audubon Membership Overview

National Audubon Society Membership

When you join the National Audubon Society, you are assigned to a local chapter based on your zip code. If you live in the Appalachian Audubon region and join the National Audubon Society, you are automatically a full-fledged member of the Appalachian Audubon Society and receive all of its benefits. 

Your membership in National Audubon Society strengthens its voice in nationwide environmental affairs and provides you with the beautiful quarterly Audubon magazine. Visit National Audubon Society to renew your annual national society membership.

Appalachian Audubon Society Chapter Support Membership

Since only about $4 of annual National Audubon Society membership reaches our local chapter, Appalachian Audubon Society offers a separate AAS Chapter Support Membership. The entire amount of your membership donation is retained by Appalachian Audubon for scholarships, education, field trips, programs, newsletters and local conservation.

Many people have decided to have both memberships. You may choose one or both memberships, but please note that you will receive the Audubon magazine and mailings from National Audubon Society only if you are an active member of the national organization.

The Appalachian Audubon Society Chapter Support membership year runs from October 1st through September 30th.
