BIrd Town MIssion

Bird Town Pennsylvania works in partnership with local municipalities and like-minded organizations to promote community-based conservation actions to create a healthier, more sustainable environment for birds, wildlife, and people.

Key Strategies

There are 6 strategy areas where Bird Town leaders are encouraged to focus their effort and attention:

  • Municipal Actions

  • School District Actions

  • Community Engagement

  • Habitat Enhancement

  • Collaborations

  • Advocacy

The designations are determined by the number of tasks accomplished for each level under the 6 different strategies:

  • Green: All new Bird Towns start here

  • Bronze: One tasks completed in 4 of the 6 strategies

  • Silver : Two tasks completed in 5 of the 6 strategies

  • Gold: Three tasks completed in all 6 strategies
